Bonnie has played the violin since she was five years old after seeing a guest performance on Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. Born and raised in Mesa, she came from a musical family who recognized the importance of private lessons from a young age. Bonnie’s love for the violin continued to grow through her school years. She made Regionals all four years, Arizona All-State Orchestra three years, participated in Solo & Ensemble festivals and attended MasterWorks Music Festival. Bonnie went on to major in Violin Performance Degree and graduated Suma Cum Laude from ASU in 2008. When not teaching (or playing), Bonnie loves to read, run, hike, and garden.

PERFORMER

Bonnie has performed with BarlowGirl and has soloed for the Vivaldi Festival. She currently plays with West Valley Symphony and has also played with Symphony of the Southwest and was Associate Concertmaster of the Arizona Philharmonic for five seasons. She was the primary fiddler for Trotters Wake Irish Band until the leaders retired, and currently plays with Finnegan’s Brogue.

TEACHER

Bonnie has been teaching private students since 2008.She believes performing & teaching are firmly intertwined. Because she loves to play, she loves to teach students the joy of playing! Her students have successfully auditioned for East Valley Youth Symphony, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, and Phoenix Youth Symphony. Whatever your age or experience level, Bonnie supports all stages of your musical journey.
